Monash University – Active Energy Precincts Project

Monash University in partnership with Birdwood Energy, the Surf Coast Energy Group and the Surf Coast Shire Council are conducting a feasibility study on the potential for microgrid solutions in Lorne and north Torquay.  Microgrids can consist of solar and battery systems distributed through communities, connected by software and commercial arrangements. They can potentially improve energy reliability and renewable energy generation/storage opportunities.

See the project fact sheet for more information.
